Shing Wedzi, Apr 10, 2009, 2:49PM EDTThanks, Oski. I valued your input.
Unfortunately, our visit to UCLA could have been managed by Walt Disney...perfect weather, gorgeous campus, beautiful girls, best college tour ever, his pole vaulting hero goes there & won the meet we watched, ranked #1 in college food, etc. It will be a miracle if this 18-yr-old chooses Cal, which is clearly the better choice for him in every OTHER way. He had been set on nuclear--not even offered at UCLA. :::sigh::: This is yet another case of sitting back and watching him make his own mistakes--I mean choices. ;~) -
Shing Wedzi, Mar 28, 2009, 10:20PM EDTLTNS, Jared. Gotta question for ya. My son is considering Cal Poly SLO, Harvey Mudd, UCLA, UCSB, and your alma mater for engineering. Given that particular spectrum, would you still recommend Cal?

a a., Feb 24, 2009, 9:17AM ESTIt is all relative Jared. They are too stupid to know that the better way than their " house value...is if they had more money of theirs to spend in the first place. Like if they did not have to pay for fuel, and they could get paid for what they grow in their backyards and textiles were cheap !
Read my latest post... They don't have a choice at this point ,,,,if we stay on this path it will ALL TANK BROTHER !!!! -

Julia Star, Aug 18, 2008, 8:22AM EDTHey -- hope you had a wonderful weekend. The highlight of mine -- my weekly trip to the Farmer's Market. I posted a picture of flowers I bought on my profile.
A couple of fantastic finds from last week in this Gather universe that can definitely be more quantity than quality that I'd like to highlight and point out to you so they aren't missed in the noise:
The "Participation is Wellbeing" post by Julie L. (You've got to be sensational in your titles around here. The posts that get hits are "What the Hell is the Matter with People" or something with Hottie in it.)
Also, any of the art of Marcos Cruz.
Happy Monday!
